Kelley begins with a course in Political Science at Indiana University in 1829. It takes almost century to become the School of Commerce and Finance and later the school of Business Administration in 1932. the school receives its present name to honor E. W. Kelley's generous contribution of $ 23 million.

The Bloomington University campus was described as one of the most beautiful campuses in a book published by a landscape artist. Bloomington is quiet little city with most of its population being the inhabitants of the university. The part time and evening MBA students make use of the Indianapolis campus.
Some of the facilities at Kelley include a wired and wireless infrastructure, 2600 data port for laptops, four research databases, 29 breakout rooms and about 6 conference rooms. A one-bedroom apartment will cost about $ 600 while a three bedroom apartment about $ 900.
